Stamp Album Update - SG (Second Edition)

Stamp album was updated according to Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth Stamp Catalogue (2nd Edition) 2011. Some previously unknown stamps of inverted watermarks are newly included.

New Currency

Stamps with new currency, Rupees and Cents were first issued in 1872.

First Stamp of Ceylon

The first stamp of Ceylon was issued on 1st of April, 1857. The currency was in Shillings and Pence, before Rupees and Cents were introduced. The stamp features a portrait of Queen Victoria and is brown in colour.
